According to EEVS and Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s latest Energy Efficiency Trends report, BEMS are now the second most popular technology behind high efficiency lighting.
‘Interest in BEMS has shot up considerably,’ says the report. It also stated that, ‘For 73% of consumers, it remained ‘business as usual’ following the referendum. But 25% did report either a minor or major impact on their energy saving investment plans.’
“The story proves the vital role BEMS have to play in a future, energy resilient UK,” said Gareth Barber, Managing Director, BGES.
“BEMS represent a superb investment for businesses up and down the UK. A recent example is Royal United Hospitals Bath, which estimates payback in as little as 18 months as a result of a BEMS upgrade.
“Following the referendum, it’s key for businesses to invest in sustainable tech that will pay back quickly now, but offer important savings and sustainability benefits into the future.
“With that in mind, we encourage firms considering how their plant and estate could benefit from a sustainability makeover to get in touch with us today.”
