Medical Clean Room Facility
Background: Asgard has transformed a storage warehouse into a cutting-edge research and clean room environment, where trials for new cancer curing therapies are underway.
Aim: To design and install a BMS and monitoring system to control the cleanrooms and interconnected spaces. Precise pressure, temperature and humidity control was a critical requirement, to avoid contamination and spoiling of materials.

BGES designed a BMS system using Trend controls IQ4 and distributed IEQeco controllers, and an IQVision top end. We undertook rigorous testing and rebalancing of the BMS to ensure it was finely tuned to maintain strict pressure regimes.
Cleanrooms are our specialism, having delivered many new and retrofit BMS projects for these environments, as well as ongoing service and maintenance. Cleanrooms are unique spaces – and knowledge of the strict environmental conditions required is essential for a project of this type.
The cleanroom facilities are all closely pressure, temperature and humidity controlled via the BMS, while secondary monitoring by an independent system checks the room pressures. The result is a perfect environment for world-leading cancer research. The IQVision top end gives facilities staff good visibility of faults and HVAC performance.
